Inversion table has a great history which dates back to the time of Hippocrates (24 centuries ago). The first record was available during 400 B.C. A ladder and pulley were used by Hippocrates to suspend a patient in upside down condition. It was done to remove the pressure from joints. Dr. Robert Martin was the modern advocate (1960’s) of inversion therapy. The popularity of the therapy increased manifold by 1980’s.
